LinKev's roast with onion gravy
Ok , this is another dish that I put together, I did not take a photo because I didn't know if it was going to be a hit. But guess what? It was so tasty that my husband went for seconds.and asked me to make it again, so I will make it again this Sunday and will take a photo. :)
3 to 3 1/2 pounds roast
1 packet of onion soup
2 packets of brown gravy
1 cup of wine
2 cups of cold water
In a bowl whisk the water with the brown gravy and put aside, place the roast in a baking pan rub the onion soup all over the roast then pour the gravy mix in the baking pan. Cover with alluminum foil and bake at 400 degrees for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until thermometer shows 140, then remove roast from oven and let it sit for about 20-30 minutes still covered. The roast will still cook and will reach to medium rare. If you like it medium to well then remove roast from the oven at 150. When done you will have gravy for your mashed potatoes too.
